Valerie Philp and Jeff Illidge |
| Jeff and myself have spent many happy hours at Heron View, Jeff enjoys the fishing and catches many species including an 8lb Barbel; it would be interesting to know if anyone catches bigger i.e. the elusive 10lb Barbel!
We both go to the bottom of the garden during the evening and are entertained by the birds,an otter and the bats; during the day the Kinkfisher can be seen flying close to the river; even the cattle in the field opposite come to see what is going on. There is always plenty of activity with the wildlife.
For us it is home from home- plenty of books for the reader, DVDs to watch and CDs to play. Heather and Mike always make us feel welcome.
Heron View is a lovely place to stay for a relaxing break, with shops and other places of interest to visit should you wish to do so.
I can recommend The Haven in Alcester for anyone wishing to have a therapy treatment, especially the hot stone back massage

| We chose well when we decided to
try Heronview. The
accommodation is of a very high
standard and very well
maintained. The owners live
next door in the old thatched
cottage, one of several in this
pleasant hamlet just a short
walk from Alcester. Of
particular benefit to us is
being able to leave the car and
walk into some lovely
countryside. Just a short way
up the road is Oversley Wood
which, being part of the old
Forest of Arden, is full of
interest to the rambler. To us
it seems home from home being
able to relax in the
Mediterranean room or down at
the river at the bottom of the
garden and, seeing how we have
always been made so welcome, no
wonder we keep on returning. |

Jan.2001 and on-going Pete Jenkins - Portsmouth |
| I have stayed in Heron View for
several weeks yearly, and can
only thank mine hosts Heather
and Mike for making me so
welcome on each occasion.
Heron View is in a perfect
location, a lovely peaceful
setting, and the accommodation
has all of the luxuries which
made my stays here such a
pleasure. I can only say, if you
want a memorable holiday, my
advise would be to stay in Heron
View. My thanks to Heather and
Mike. |

Mark & Rebecca Nettleton - Sutton Coldfield |
| Having spent part of our
honeymoon here, we were treated
to a relaxing, comfortable and
romantic holiday. The hosts
were very welcoming and went out
of their way to make our time
here very special. We found the
accommodation, facilities and
surrounding area to be more than
satisfactory. |

Fred & Irene Knowles - Manchester |
| We have spent two lovely
holidays here and hope to visit
again in 2004. We always feel at
home thanks to the marvellous
hospitality. Fred really enjoyed
the fishing for Barbel and
caught the biggest fish in the
river!! |
